The Founder
Meet Alanna Gallo
After more than a decade as a public school teacher, I walked away from a system that was failing kids—but not from my passion for helping them thrive.
That passion became my purpose: to help parents raise confident, curious, and Uninfluenceable kids in a culture that constantly tells them who to be.

Alanna Gallo // Founder
I’ve seen firsthand how screens, social media, and academic pressure are shaping children’s identities before they even know themselves. I believe it doesn’t have to be this way. When we return to play, connection, and real-world learning, we raise kids who are grounded, resilient, and able to think for themselves.
Through my book Uninfluenceable, my coaching programs, and my speaking work, I help families and educators make that shift—away from digital distraction and toward a more conscious, connected way of raising kids.
Over the Years
the Journey
Had my first baby
I quickly realized how my love of all things child development and education was helping me find my groove as a new mom. Read every book imaginable about parenting and early childhood development.
Had my second baby
I committed to my children having strong sibling relationships and immersed myself in studying sibling dynamics and how to cultivate healthy sibling relationships.
Had my 3rd baby
Made an offer on a new house that would allow us to renovate and make all my playroom dreams come true.
BIG Move
Moved into our new house and signed up at a local Montessori preschool
Started my first blog
That Mom Life. I was writing blog post length pieces of advice in the comments of Facebook Mom groups, so I decided I should take the leap into blogging. I realized I wanted to lean into creating content around education and play. So I started brainstorming how to shift my blog and social media content to focus on that instead of general mom life.
Hosted my first panel
I hosted a Panel Discussion about the Power of Play with Parents.com and Dr. Peter Gray. Total #fangirl moment.
